Re: [Fandfs] Don's Memories

I remember when the trimaran was being built. The big guys used it to go abalone fishing in the caves around Gibson Beach. I thought they were very brave. Then the big girls would shell the abs, cut off the black and slice them into filets. We smaller kids would pound them with 7-Up bottles to soften them up. Cut into small pieces, dipped into batter and deep fat fried....oh, YUMMY!

After the Boat Works was built, and the skiff constructed, it was launched in the swimming pool and christened with beer. I loved sipping beer froth while sitting in the stern of the boat.

Honey and I sat on the roof of the Boat Works while I read Charlotte's Web to her. Started my lifelong love of pigs.

Just a few more memories to share.
