Re: [Fandfs] Some memories from Don (the dome)

Don,

Was that Michael New's trimaran down at Slate's Hot Springs?  Or was there another one that I've forgotten about?

I have been savoring the memories posted and want to contribute but am daunted by my fragmented data-base which I believe is due to my severe ADD  (hey, is that a Kestrel on that telephone wire?)  which confirms the adage "garbage in - garbage out."

But here are some non-linear tidbits:

Reeford at the stove in white carpenter's overalls steaming white bottom fish seasoned with very sparse understated herbs.

Picking ticks off Bear and throwing them into the fire "snap, crackle, pop." Such a dear old dog.

Cynthia bestowing the best advice I never paid the least attention to: "Don, buy property! They're making people, but they're not making any more land."

Alfredo Dopico and Tasha.

God, I was so smitten with Marietta Von Blumenthal, but she had her eye on Michael - that was a nice dance, though :-) We restored the trimaran in the boathouse and set out for Mexico to dredge for gold with Kimmy Chappel. Lunacy, sheer lunacy.

Babysitting for Hal Price. Thank God for Lana. I believe the Price house is built of old growth redwood from a salvaged covered bridge somewhere along highway 1.

John hanging dead things by their hind feet on the patio. Probably killed down at Lime Creek.

Cynthia's occasional spontaneous incitement of group back massages in the living room if there were enough guests to form a circle!

Much love, wisdom and life lessons passed on to people who in turn have passed it on to those who needed it.

Cynthia visited us in Arcata and slept on the floor.  My kids were amazed. I wonder what she thought of our hovel and wish she could have seen what I've done with it, although I'm sure she would have advised me to bulldoze it and build from scratch and save a lot of work! So practical and so kind.

Cynthia was an amazing gift. We who knew and loved her are so lucky.
