This was taken a year ago on February 14. On our way home after spending the weekend at Rocky Creek, I stopped by Cynthia's to visit. A dear friend of mine, Joe wasn't sure if our present condition of 3 days of campfire and hiking was worthy of a visit with to a great aunt. I assured him that everything would be fine. Upon arrival, we witnessed a portrait session, a lively political discussion, home baked cookie delivery and more campfire! At one point, Joe was invited to join the portrait session. He felt like everyone else who happened to "drop by", completely welcomed and accepted. We could have stayed much longer, but our obligations were down the highway and we reluctantly said our goodbyes. Joe was amazed at the variety of people and activities that Cynthia's compound attracted. One visit, and he was convinced he'd visited sacred ground. Rest in peace, Stephen Criley February 11, 2011 ![]() DSCF2655 |
