We agree with everything Cynthia Satchell so eloquently said ! And we'd like to add a few lines borrowed from part of a memorial Auden once wrote to Yeats, and which I(Alan) was asked to contribute some years ago to a remembrance of Hal Price, and which we think ought to be resurrected once again, as an appropriate adieu for our incomparable Cynthia and the many wonderful ways she enriched our lives.

Our dear friend “Cynthia” is laid to rest

Follow poet, follow right

To the bottom of the night

With your unconstraining voice

Still persuade us to Rejoice

In the deserts of the heart

Let the healing fountains start

In the prison of his days
